New Year's Day celebrations
Aside from London's famous new year's day parade, many places around the UK have traditional new year's celebrations. The 1st of January is a public holiday in Britain, so many people spend time with family and make new year's resolutions - promises to themselves for the year ahead. Ask your teacher if you can make some new year's resolutions together!
Hogwarts in the Snow
See the iconic Harry Potter film sets transformed for the winter season in a self-guided walking tour of the Warner Bros. Studio in London, during Hogwarts in the Snow around Christmas time, which runs until January the 16th.
Go for a winter walk
Britain is beautiful in the wintertime, and there's nothing like a frosty walk along country roads or through magical woodlands - wrap up warm, and see if you can spot some wildlife, like the robin, a bird known for its bright red belly that is a symbol for winter in the UK.
