How Our English Courses Work

Step-by-step guide to booking a personalised English homestay course in the UK – from enquiry to arrival, learning, progress and ongoing support.

1. Enquiry and Course Advice

Every course begins with a conversation. Contact us by email, phone or enquiry form to tell us about your goals, level of English and preferred dates.

  • We’ll recommend the best course for your needs (General, Academic, Business, Exam Preparation or Parent & Child).

  • You’ll receive advice on course content, accommodation, and visa requirements.

  • A personalised quotation is sent to you with full details of what’s included.

2. Booking Your Course

Once you’ve chosen your course:

  • Complete a booking form and confirm your travel dates.

  • Pay a deposit to secure your place.

  • You’ll receive confirmation, along with your student handbook and practical information for planning your trip.

3. Matching You With Your Teacher

We carefully match every student with the most suitable teacher and homestay family. We consider:

  • Your age, learning style and interests

  • The teacher’s experience and specialisms

  • Any requests about location or lifestyle (e.g. countryside or city)
You’ll stay in the teacher’s comfortable family home, with your own bedroom, meals provided, and a welcoming environment to practise English naturally every day.

4. Preparing for Your Course

Before you travel:

  • You’ll complete a needs analysis and placement test so your teacher can design a personalised study programme.

  • We’ll help with any travel arrangements and advise on insurance, visas and airport transfers.

  • You’ll receive contact details for your teacher and family so you can get to know each other before you arrive.

5. Arrival and Welcome

On arrival in the UK, your teacher (or a trusted driver) will meet you at the airport or station. You’ll be welcomed into the family home and introduced to your new surroundings. Most students settle in quickly and feel at home within the first day.

6. Lessons and Learning

Your course is built around you.

  • One-to-one tuition with your teacher, tailored to your goals

  • 15–30 hours per week of formal lessons

  • Daily English practice with your teacher’s family and friends

  • Excursions and activities to explore British culture and practise English in real situations

7. Living With Your Teacher’s Family

Homestay is at the heart of the experience. Sharing meals, conversations and activities helps you build confidence and fluency naturally. Many students form lasting friendships with their teacher and family.

8. Progress and Feedback

Throughout your stay:

  • Your teacher monitors your progress and adapts lessons to suit your needs

  • Regular feedback sessions ensure you are achieving your goals

  • At the end of your course, you’ll receive a detailed report and certificate of achievement

9. Ongoing Support

Your learning doesn’t end when you leave. Many students continue with online lessons to maintain progress and confidence. We also provide ongoing support with academic or professional goals in the UK and worldwide.
